Carrie-Sue A. Bradbury, 60, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2024, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio.
She was born on October 27, 1963, in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Carrie graduated from Harbor High School in 1981 and went on to attend Lakeland Community College where she received a degree in accounting.
Carrie had a successful career in accounting with many years spent at the Gazette and most recently with Community Care Ambulance.
On January 3, 2009, she married Gary Alan Bradbury, they recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.
She was an active member of the Jefferson Fraternal Order of Eagles and former member of Jefferson Band Boosters. She enjoyed music of all genres from blue grass to heavy metal. She particularly enjoyed slow dancing with her hubby to Kenny Chesney’s Somewhere with You or stomping to Alabama’s Tennessee River. She loved her flower gardens, going to the beach and being tan. A couple of her favorite TV shows were Law and Order SVU and NCIS. Carrie’s true source of joy and happiness was being “Grammy” to her beloved grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving family and husband, Gary; her children, Robert C. (Alexis) Wight and Jake R. (Nancy) Wight; her stepchildren: Gary A. Bradbury II, Nikki McCarthy and Amanda Bradbury (Dino Dakos); her grandchildren: Marilyn, Thea, Monty, Calum, Chloe, Auggie, Alivia and Lilia and her beloved rottweiler, Gunny.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Shaw and her Aunt Henrietta “Hank” Graham.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 6:00p – 8:00p with a funeral service at 8:00p at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio.
